We always ended up having to rearrange seating when hosting large spaces or large group gatherings, like for Christmas this past year, which was 15 people,” Jamie advises. We just did a full rearrange. I just want everyone to feel comfortable and not on top of each other, like they have space to stretch out,” Jamie emphasizes. “I think just let yourself be present with your friends and your family. The dishes can be done later. You don’t need to hurry to get up from the table and go do your dishes and all of those things. Just be present. It’s going to be a mess,” Jamie wisely advises. In the hustle and bustle of hosting, it’s easy to get caught up in the details and the desire for everything to be perfect.
