In her pursuit of creating memorable experiences for guests, Jamie Inlow shares some tips that can transform your home into a haven of warmth and care during the holidays.

“I always do towels on the bed. I do towels on the bed with washcloths for all of my guests. I think it’s a beautiful way to set it, and I usually do a little turn-down chocolates on it whenever we host; it’s my go-to,” Jamie reveals. Setting out towels with washcloths not only adds a touch of elegance but also ensures that guests feel pampered and well-taken care of. For a festive twist during the holidays, consider incorporating themed chocolates or treats to enhance the welcoming ambiance.

“A really cute thing you can do for your guests is doing little bathroom amenities like a cup by the sink, washcloths, hand soap and lotion, etc, making sure they have everything that they need,” Jamie suggests. This thoughtful gesture goes beyond the ordinary, making guests feel truly cherished during the holiday season. “Just put a little cup on your sink. A fun little added touch to make your guests feel really, really cared for,” Jamie recommends. Embracing the convenience of online shopping, consider sourcing bulk bathroom amenities from platforms like Amazon.

“Another great tip for holiday hosting is arranging your seating. We always ended up having to rearrange seating when hosting large spaces or large group gatherings, like for Christmas this past year, which was 15 people,” Jamie advises. Recognizing the importance of guest comfort, Jamie took proactive steps to ensure everyone had a cozy and inviting place to sit. “I ended up just turning all my couches and I went and got another couch out of the warehouse and I just created a whole new design in my living room,” she shares. “Our big Christmas tree was in the room and I had three couches around it. We just did a full rearrange. I just want everyone to feel comfortable and not on top of each other, like they have space to stretch out,” Jamie emphasizes. The holidays are about creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness, and a key element of that is ensuring your guests have ample space to relax and enjoy the festivities. Even if the rearrangement may not align with your typical aesthetic preferences, the focus should be on the comfort and well-being of your guests.

“If you have a Keurig or an espresso, I like to keep one or two drip coffee pots in my garage, and when we host, we bring out the drip coffee pots. Pull the out when you host to have plenty of coffee on hand,” Jamie suggests. By keeping a Keurig or an espresso machine for quick and convenient brewing, and also offering the timeless charm of drip coffee, hosts can cater to a range of preferences. “Having options ensures that everyone can enjoy their preferred cup of coffee, whether it’s a quick espresso shot or a leisurely drip-brewed cup,” Jamie highlights.

“I think just let yourself be present with your friends and your family. The dishes can be done later. You don’t need to hurry to get up from the table and go do your dishes and all of those things. Just be present. It’s going to be a mess,” Jamie wisely advises. In the hustle and bustle of hosting, it’s easy to get caught up in the details and the desire for everything to be perfect. However, Jamie reminds hosts to prioritize the joy of being together over the pressure of maintaining a spotless home.

As the holiday season approaches, Jamie Inlow and Be Still Getaways continue to redefine the short-term rental industry. As you prepare to host family and friends in your own home during the holiday season, take Jamie Inlow’s advice to heart. Prioritize being present over perfection, cherishing the messy, beautiful moments that unfold during the celebrations. By allowing yourself to fully engage with your loved ones and postponing the rush to tidy up, you create an atmosphere where authenticity and connection thrive.

In the end, it’s the shared laughter, stories, and genuine connections that make the holidays truly unforgettable.thoughtful design, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences, Jamie has earned her place as a true superstar in the field.
